Heather has been a physician assistant since 2001 and joined Dr. Kean as an associate provider in 2015. As a team, they provide orthopedic services in the surgical and non-surgical settings. Their chief mission is the delivery of proficient and compassionate care. Collaborating with Dr, Kean, Heather helps to facilitate the entire spectrum of orthopedic treatment and recovery process in patient care.
As part of a Physician-PA team, Heather is credentialed to provide care of our patients at Providence Milwaukie Hospital and Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center. Heather is certified as a physician assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, a member of Physician Assistants in Orthopedic Surgery, and the Oregon Society of Physician Assistants.
Heather obtained her undergraduate degree from University of Massachusetts at Amherst where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and graduated magna cum laude. She then pursued a Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies through Arcadia University near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In addition to orthopedics, Heather has a clinical background in general, vascular, and plastic surgery.
Heather grew up in Vermont where she developed an appreciation for the outdoors and an active lifestyle. She is an active member of her church in Sellwood and enjoys board games, hiking, biking, reading, walks at sunset, and exploring the outdoors with her husband and two children.
